Soft, long, flowing... in a word, 'romantic'. Who would guess there are so many different types of Romantic skirts, so many ways to make them, and so many different options?

For 2012, we've made some really cool changes to this class! We're definitely 'off-book' here - these options are NOT your 'usual and every-day' Romantic Tutus!

There are 5 very unique and very fun styles to choose from, each with with different challenges, complexities, and opportunities for learning. But every one of these designs has a place on-stage - several places, actually. Feel free to ask, we're happy to explain where and why.

As always, we provide all the necessary fabric.

The course includes a copy of the latest edition of "The Romantic Tutu Book", by Claudia Folts - for the 'traditional' approach, for your use later.

We are allowing up to 2 days for this class, but depending on you, your sewing skills, and which option, you may complete your project in less time - 1 day or 1-1/2 days - leaving time for additional projects! If you are unsure about what to choose, or how long it may take, please ask, we'll try to help.

You will have multiple color and size options for either a 'Snow Corp' variation or a 'Waltz of the Flowers' variation.

Please Note - Your measuring skiils need to be very good for this class!

Please Note - Although the tutu is shown here with matching 'Petaled' bodice, the bodice is NOT part of this class.

This is Claudia's unique design, a completely 'reversible' tutu - allowing you to use 1 tutu for 2 ballets!

The name says it all, just compare the photos to see what we mean.

This option is available as a single-color choice only, in white, pink, or lilac.

Please Note - This is a very advanced design - it is Much More Intensive, with Lots More Work! The cutting is very intense and time-consuming. If cutting tulle is not your forte, you may want to wait until you have more practice cutting.

Please Note:
1) - we allow up to 2 days for this class, but the actual time required to complete this project depends on you - your experience level, your skills, your speed, your ability to stay focused. You may finish your skirt in 1 day, or you may choose to finish your skirt outside of class (and use the time for additional classes), or you may choose to sew for 2 days.
2) - our Women's pattern and garment sizing is Children's sizes to Jr. Miss - in other words, 'Dancer Sizing'. We do not have patterns for larger women. Our patterns are not designed for, and will not readily adapt to, a non-dancer body-type.
3) - this workshop does NOT include bodice instruction. The course is designed to work in conjunction with our 'Bodice Construction' or 'Couture Bodice Techniques' seminars.
